Carmen & Flamingos, Amsterdam

Last Friday I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the new collection by 'Zinzi de Brouwer: Carmen and Flamingos S/S '10'. I really enjoyed doing these more stylised shots, without losing my 'street shots' past. For the limited resources we had, I think it turned out pretty decent. Our reflector was an improvised piece of cardboard covered with aluminum. Wooho!

  1. Hmmm. As soon as I resize the images to screen resolution it loses a bit of sharpness. Or is it because I save them in jpg? In print they are even more fabulous.

I am sure these make amazing prints, these images are just beautiful!

And, wow, I find it so inspiring how you manage to constantly be at new places for extended periods of time; all the experiences you probably get to live must be unforgettable! You need to tell me how you do this! :D

  9. Oi...Dennis.

The combination of your Fashion-experiences and EJF will get you anywhere in the future! Companies will love your enriched resume!
    I like these pictures.

So...this shoot explains the fact that you were in search for a make-up artist on facebook. :)

As for the sharpness of your pictures, it probably has something to do with the fact that you saved it as JPG. Perhaps try to save it as PNG next time. I use JPG and PNG, but most of the time PNG. :)

  19. This looks like an amazing shoot, and the clothes look perfect! Great work.

Thanks for your kind words about the robbery...it's so gutting, but I'm starting to get over it. I've borrowed the bf's old laptop, so I'm back in the blogosphere, but the thought of some skanky shit going through all my posessions is the worst.
