Craziness, London

Oh my. I think this is the longest period ever that I have not posted a new entry. This week I had to do so many things in London (working, searching for a place etc), that I could not find the time and inspiration to post anything that would suit the blog's purpose. :)
Well. Back to business. This weekend I am hitting Brick Lane and hopefully Portobello Market. I am definitely going to photograph some hipsters - as I am in the hipster city. Next week is London Fashion Week which I will be attending and where I will be photographing some cool styles besides my job duties for EJF. I will get back to all my reader's blogs asap! :)
The Kills - London Hates You

Ah, Portobello Market. I can't help but think of the song "Portobello Road" in Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy time for you Dennis. I hope you find a far out and happening flat. xo
i'm very, very, very jealous. i came back from london a month ago and the very same photo you took is the road i used to walk down almost every day. i look forward to reading your escapades..
ReplyDeleteMy brother is living in Manchester now... and ... both becouse i miss him like hell, and becouse of your glam stories... i feel like paying him a short visit... and scaping to london!!
ReplyDeleteNice photo! Though I must say it only emphasizes the already very gray image of London I have in my head :) That Apple store looks huge!
ReplyDeleteI really like this picture. It draws you in and almost makes you feel like you're standing right where you were when you made this photo. It feels more like I'm looking outside a window than into a still capture. And the more I stare at it, the more I love it! I think it's one of my favorites from you... There's something about it, a cosmopolitan, melancholy tone... A feeling of communal nostalgia... It's very inspirational. And I would love to continue talking about it, but I don't want to bore you more with my long comment.
Really looking forward to more photos! And, as always, it is great to have you back posting again.
Great photo! Looking forward to seeing more from the streets of London. Hope you're settling in okay.

ReplyDeleteAha...this image really shows it's been taken by a talented photographer. Because a talented photographer has great timing. The London double decker in this image, combined with these grey buildings oozes LONDON.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the hipsters pictures and good luck in finding a place to stay.

ReplyDeleteJust stumbled upon your blog and love it! Great to see another blog dedicated to fashion/style and traveling. Just got back from London myself and I'm still missing it a little (though I head back next month). Hope you had fun at Brick Lane and Portobello. I love the first, although I find so many great vintage shops to be overwhelming I never know where to start. But the people watching there is great :)
ReplyDeleteI remember this street when I went to London...
