Snip Snap - Black White, London

<
This is one of my favourite pictures from London Fashion Week (LFW). There is so much happening in this photo in terms of people and interaction with my camera - back to front. I am curious to see what you guys notice :) - On another note: my weekend was very very hectic and busy as I had to work on Saturday and Sunday and photograph a halloween party in between. So with 2 hours sleep in the pocket I survived today at the GLAM show. All people flocking to this blog from the KITSUNE party last night, I will post the photos online by tomorrow evening! So better check it out - there are a lot of awesome pictures! More on the night itself tomorrow.

  1. Sounds like a completely chaotic but wonderful weekend!!

Can't wait to see your photos!

Love this snap! The two girls make quite a pair and I love the people watching from the railing.

  2. I see a Balmain blazer and a Chanel (copy?) panty hose! :)
I love being a busy bee with not much sleep, working on something I have a passion for. But after...I'd like to have an 8 hour sleep. :P

While following you through this blog, it looks like it's Fashion Year, instead of 'Fashion Week' in London. :)

    Best wishes!

    Wonderful it was!

    Re: Daniel
I am quite sure it is not a real balmain - but one of those h&m et al copies. And yea, I like to spread my fashion week pictures :) I agree with you on the busy bee thing, although I feel delirious now due to the lack of sleep!

    Re: Clau!

  27. Haha, I just read on one of your previous comments that you feel delirious due to lack of sleep... Welcome to my world!!! That's why my posts are so all over the place, I blog in that state of mind most of the time. Really not a good thing.

I love this picture. I love how all the people in the background are smiling/laughing and are wearing colorful things, especially when compared to the main subjects of the picture whom are wearing dark colors. There is a nice contrast also in the expressions, one girl is very serious while the other seems to be restraining a smile (and seems also unsure about where to look, I believe her eyes are directed to you) and there's the mystery of the girl whose back is to us. The strong lines of the architecture, both in the walls and the ground, and the strong patterns from the skirt and dress, they all add interesting visual points of focus. And the blackness of the passageway between the walls seems almost aligned with the girls in black... accentuating their presence. The girls' shadows are all over the place, I love that. And the cut off girl on the far right creates a bigger sense of dynamism, letting you know there is even more going on beyond what is immediately seen... Life outside the picture frame. It's really a great photo Dennis. As you know, I am a big fan of your work.
